Chaos increasingly strike in Sao Paulo ahead of the World Cup
Brazilian police used tear gas on Monday to disperse striking workers subway in Sao Paulo, in defiance of a court decision that the return to work, causing a large traffic jam just three days before the city hosted the opening match of the World Cup football.
The strike caused partial subway workers who entered the fifth day in a traffic aggregation in the largest cities in South America and increased fears of extensive on whether the Brazilian authorities will be able to prevent street protests and other labor disputes of disabled World Cup.
After clashes in the early morning in the metro station Ana Rosa metro company said it fired 60 government workers bats in a move some fear could increase tension. The local court ruled on Sunday that the strike is illegal.
The strikers are demanding an increase in wages by 12 percent, while the company offered them the metro increased by 8.7 percent.
The traffic police said that the rigidity of vehicular traffic in the city of about 200 kilometers, compared with about 300 km on Friday, which was one of the worst days in the records of the traffic in the country.
